Terms & Conditions

Who these terms cover

Airport Parking Exchange (“we”, “us”, “the Exchange”) operates airportparkingexchange.co.uk, a marketplace connecting travelers with independent parking operators. We are not the operator running any car park listed on the site — the operator you book with is a separate business responsible for the parking service itself. These terms are in two parts: the Exchange Booking Terms (below) apply if you make a booking as a traveler; the Exchange Operating Terms further down apply if you list and run a car park on the Exchange as an operator.

Exchange Booking Terms

1. Making a booking

When you book, we pass your booking and vehicle details to the operator, take payment on the operator’s behalf via Stripe, and email you a confirmation. The price shown at checkout is the final price you pay — it’s always recalculated from the operator’s current rate at the moment you book, not taken from anything cached in your browser. Please check your booking confirmation carefully and make sure your drop-off/pick-up times, vehicle details and contact information are correct; you’re responsible for arriving with the documents the operator asks for (e.g. your booking reference and flight details).

2. Cancellations and changes

Free cancellation is available up to 24 hours before your booked drop-off time. To cancel or amend a booking, contact us at ops@airportparkingexchange.com with your booking reference, quoting the lot name and drop-off date. Cancellations made within 24 hours of drop-off, or after you’ve dropped the vehicle off, are non-refundable, as the operator will already have held the space for you. If a flight delay or other change means you’ll arrive later than booked, let us know as soon as you can — we’ll pass it to the operator, but a later arrival isn’t guaranteed to be accommodated.

3. Check-in, check-out and vehicle condition

At drop-off and pick-up, the operator photographs your vehicle as a record of its condition; these photos are emailed to you at each step. If you notice any damage to your vehicle, report it to the operator and to us before leaving the pick-up location — claims are much harder for the operator to assess once you’ve driven away. Keep your check-in/check-out emails as your record of the vehicle’s condition at both ends of the booking.

4. Complaints

If something goes wrong with your booking, contact us at ops@airportparkingexchange.com with your booking reference and a description of the issue. We’ll acknowledge your complaint and pass it to the operator where it concerns how they delivered the parking service; we aim to come back to you with a substantive response within 10 working days.

5. Liability

The parking operator you book with is responsible for your vehicle while it’s in their care — including any loss, theft or damage that happens on their site — under the terms of their own insurance and the arrangement in place between you and them. We facilitate the booking and payment but don’t take physical custody of your vehicle. To the extent permitted by law, our own liability is limited to the amount you paid for the affected booking, except where liability can’t be excluded by law (for example, for fraud or death or personal injury caused by our negligence).

Exchange Operating Terms

6. Listing on the Exchange

Submitting an operator application doesn’t guarantee a listing — every application is reviewed by our team before a lot goes live, and we may decline an application, request more information, or suspend an existing listing at any time (for example, for repeated complaints, unsafe conditions, or a breach of these terms). You’re responsible for keeping your listing’s rates, availability and lot details accurate and up to date.

7. Pricing, payouts and commission

The rate you set is your wholesale rate. Customers are charged a price that includes the Exchange’s platform fee on top of your rate; our fee is deducted before payout, and you’re paid out on the wholesale rate you set, not the customer-facing price. Payment is collected from the customer through Stripe on your behalf.

8. Operator obligations

  • Honour every confirmed booking at the rate quoted, for the dates booked.
  • Photograph each vehicle at check-in and check-out and mark the booking’s status accurately in the operator console as the vehicle moves through your site.
  • Hold appropriate insurance for vehicles in your care.
  • Respond to booking-related queries and complaints promptly and in good faith.

9. Ending an operator agreement

Either of us can end your listing agreement at any time by notifying the other, though any bookings already confirmed before that point must still be honoured. We may remove a listing immediately, without notice, where we reasonably believe continuing to list it risks customer safety or breaches these terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any dispute arising from them is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time; the “last updated” date at the top of this page will always reflect the latest version. Continuing to use the site or an existing listing after a change means you accept the updated terms.
